How to Report Hackers to Facebook

Facebook’s user agreement is violated when user’s account is knowingly compromised, as stated in the third article of the Safety section of Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.
Depending on the circumstance, there are many ways to report such infractions.
Submit report through Facebook’s Help Center if your account or the account of one of your friends has been compromised.

Report the activities of certain Facebook user you know is involved in hacking other accounts by going to his profile page.

How  to Report Your Compromised Profile

If you believe your online profile has been compromised, you should take the following steps:

  1. Change your password: The first step you should take is to change your password. Make sure to use a strong and unique password that is not used for any other accounts.
  2. Enable two-factor authentication: Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring you to enter a code sent to your phone or email in addition to your password when you log in.
  3. Check for suspicious activity: Look through your account activity and see if there are any unusual logins or changes made to your account. If you find anything suspicious, you should report it to the appropriate authorities or to the platform where your account was compromised.
  4. Alert your contacts: If you use your compromised profile to communicate with others, you should let them know that your account was compromised and that they should be wary of any suspicious messages or links that they may receive from your account.
  5. Be cautious when receiving emails or messages: Be careful not to click on any links or download any attachments from unknown sources, as these could potentially be malware or phishing attempts.
  6. Report the compromised profile: If you are unable to secure your account or if you believe that your personal information has been exposed, you should report the compromised profile to the platform where it was compromised or to the appropriate authorities.

Report Your Friend’s Compromised Profile

If you believe that your friend’s Facebook profile has been compromised, the first thing you should do is encourage them to secure their account. Here are some steps they can take:

  1. Change their password: Your friend should choose a strong, unique password and avoid using it on any other websites.
  2. Enable two-factor authentication: This will add an extra layer of security to their account by requiring a code to be entered whenever they log in from a new device.
  3. Check for suspicious activity: Your friend should review their recent login activity and remove any unfamiliar devices or logins.
  4. Check for suspicious posts or messages: If there are any posts or messages on their profile that they did not send, they should delete them.

If your friend is unable to secure their account or if they suspect that their personal information has been compromised, they should report the issue to Facebook. They can do this by going to the “Help Center” and selecting the “Report a Problem” option.

It’s also a good idea for your friend to be cautious about clicking on links or downloading attachments from unfamiliar sources, as these can sometimes be used to gain access to their account.
