Alcatel just introduced a low-cost smartphone with good hardware and a stylish design. The Alcatel 7 is a French OEM’s foray into the already crowded market for low-cost smartphones. As I previously stated, the smartphone has very adequate mid-range features, but they are a little on the low end if you ask me. Design and Display
Despite its attractive design, the smartphone cannot be described as spectacular, since it falls short of the Oppo F9. Its structure does, however, have a luxury feel to it, and it is also very durable. On the upper section, there is a vertical row of two cameras in the centre, with a flash below it and Alcatel logo just below it. It also has a prominent bezel on the front, with the exception of the sides.
The 6.0-inch display of the Alcatel 7 is about the norm these days, compared to what we used to get. In addition, the LCD panel has a wide viewing angle and a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.
Battery and Camera
You can’t disagree with what you’ve got here, which is a sizable battery. Even while there are larger batteries available, the 4, 000mAh on the smartphone is still a significant amount of power. To top it off, the Alcatel 7 has rapid charge, which makes things a whole lot easier when it comes to recharging your battery.
Aside from joining the growing list of smartphones with twin cameras, the Alcatel 7 appears to feature exceptionally good mid-range optics. As previously stated, there are two cameras on the back: a 12MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. In the reversed position, there is a single 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and wefies.
Hardware and Software
This is where the mid-range smartphone’s bottom shelf status is revealed. It doesn’t matter; as long as the price tag justifies the trade-offs, it’s fine. A MediaTek MT6763T processor and a Mali-G71 GPU are included within the smartphone.
In addition, the Alcatel comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It’s a good thing you can expand the capacity, which can go up to 128GB with a memory card. Alcatel also includes the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, as well as a small add-on from them.
