Infinix has been selling low-cost smartphones in India for a long time, with a concentration on the sub-Rs. 10,000 price range. Many of the Infinix devices we’ve reviewed in the past, such as the Note 5 (Review), Hot S3X (Review), and Note 5 Stylus (Review), have performed admirably in our tests. The Infinix S4 is the company’s newest smartphone, with a triple camera configuration on the back and a large battery. Is it superior to its rivals? To find out, we examine it.
Infinix S4 Summary
The Infinix S4 is made of polycarbonate and features a colorful paint job. This smartphone is available in three color options: Nebula Blue, Space Gray, and Twilight Purple. The Infinix S4 features a large 6.21-inch display with HD+ quality. The bezels on the sides aren’t particularly large, but the bottom one is. The display also features a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
The MediaTek Helio P22 SoC was chosen by Infinix to power this smartphone. This processor has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. On top of Android 9 Pie, the phone runs XOS 5.0. The UI isn’t pure Android, and it includes preinstalled apps that send out spammy notifications.
The processor isn’t the fastest, but it’s adequate for casual gaming. The 4,000mAh battery has a good battery life and may last for more than a day of regular use. The S4 boasts a triple camera array on the back and a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Photos shot in daylight were good since they contained enough detail. Although the portrait images were good, the edge detection was not. The camera’s low-light performance was poor.
