It’s a terrific time to get out into the real world and look for the quality guys you want to meet as a woman over 50 now that the weather is finally starting to warm up and we’re coming out of hibernation.

1. Wine shops that have classes and tastings.
These are simple to complete on your own. Of course, be cautious when driving home. Inquire of the man sitting next to you about his favorite wine thus far.
2. Dog parks.
Borrow a dog from a friend if you have to. Dog people are really friendly! Ask for a vet recommendation or compliment his pup.
3. As you travel to work on public transportation
look up from your book and check out who might be a potential suitor. Smile at him and ask him what time it is.
4. Restaurants.
Ask the man at the table next to you what he’s eating that looks so wonderful when you’re out with a girlfriend. Even if you’re alone, sitting at the bar is a terrific way to do this!
5. Whole Foods or your local grocery store.
Men must eat, and unless their mothers continue to cook for them, they must purchase food around dinnertime. Find out what kind of seafood or veggie he recommends. As an added plus, perhaps you’ll meet someone who will cook for you as well!
6. Singles cruises and resorts.
Men do, in fact, travel alone. Inquire as to whether he is visiting for business or pleasure. I know a woman who went on a solo trip and met a fantastic man at a resort. Just make sure to look up the typical age of tourists to the area so you don’t end up with a bunch of spring breakers. Alternatively, cruise lines like Princess and Holland America cater to those over 50.
7. Starbucks or your favorite local coffee shop.
Strike up a conversation about how long the line is or how long a winter it has been.
8. Meetup.com
Every day, there are a variety of local activities. Start a chat about the activity or pastime you’ve met up to do here to meet men who are interested in the same types of things you are.
9. Your hair salon.
Men come in for haircuts and even manicures, which may surprise you. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sat next to a guy having a pedicure without the bright polish. Tell him he’s courageous for going.
10. Hardware stores
especially on weekends, like Home Depot or Lowe’s. Men must travel somewhere to purchase the stuff they require to repair their lives. This is the ideal time to enlist their assistance in selecting the right tool for your home improvement project.
11. Wine festivals or outdoor events.
With live music playing, the sun setting, and glasses clinking, ask the man next to you which winery he recommends.
12. Upscale casinos
Gambling establishments are springing up all over, and guys adore it. Be his fortunate charm by hanging out near the roulette table. Sit at the bar with a companion if the casino is attached to a hotel and start chatting with men who come in for a drink or supper. Or, if you want to play into his damsel-in-distress DNA, ask him for gambling advice.
