1. The League
The League is a high-end dating service. You must apply to join, in addition to paying a membership fee. Payment does not guarantee admission, just as it does not guarantee admission to an exclusive club. You must meet the requirements. You’ll need to provide your LinkedIn account (“to block you from your coworkers” because no one wants their coworkers to know they’ve joined a dating service) and your Facebook account in the application.
You may use tools like in-site video dating once you become a member. “Selective and high-quality dating and social networking community,” the platform boasts.
2. Zoosk
Zoosk makes it simple to build a profile. It does, however, have verification alternatives for confirming a user’s identity and reputation. Uploading a photo that clearly shows the user’s face, establishing a Twitter account, and linking to a Facebook account are all required verifications. It also features paid boost options that increase your chances of showing on another user’s “carousel,” which is essentially where the matching and selecting takes place.
3. CoffeeMeetsBagel
You must use either your Facebook account or your phone number to continue using this platform. You must pay for some of the site’s more valuable services, such as seeing potential matches right away, like with most dating sites. The location selections on this dating service are very flexible. You can change your address to check users in the region if you plan to visit to a specific location and want to set up a date there.
4. Match
In the United States, Match is the most popular dating site. It requests that you complete a profile, which will be reviewed by their support team within 24 hours. It’s unclear how they verify your identity, but the company does actively remove “bad actors” from its site.
5. eHarmony
When you sign up, you’ll be prompted to perform a compatibility test that takes about 20 minutes. It includes questions about whether you prefer to share or have separate bedrooms, as well as other situational inquiries. Not only does the site provide you with matches after you take the quiz, but it also provides you with a personality profile. The caveat is that unless you pay for a premium account, you won’t be able to see your match’s images fully; they’ll be blurred.
