Since changing their name to Umidigi, Umi has maintained a consistent presence in the smartphone market. The Umidigi S3 Pro is one of their most recent devices. The phone is a replacement for the Umidigi S2 Pro. The Umidigi S3 Pro is also one of the few smartphones with the excellent MediaTek Helio P70 processor. Design and Display
Given its 217g weight, holding the Umidigi S3 Pro may require strong biceps. But that’s just me joking. Despite its size, the smartphone manages to maintain a compact profile, as evidenced by its 8.5mm thickness. A fingerprint sensor and twin camera take up space on the phone’s back, away from the numbers.
The dewdrop notch takes up some of the 6.3-inch screen’s real estate. Corning Gorilla Glass is protecting this screen in the meantime.
However, the 2.5D glass put on top of the glass gives it a curved appearance. The FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels expresses texts and inputs effectively.
Battery and Camera
Umidigi isn’t joking around, especially in these areas. For example, the photography department is fantastic. Fine detail is captured by a typical 48MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.7. A 12MP camera provides support for the portrait wizardry. A 20MP camera in the notch produces sharp selfies.
Getting the Umidigi S3 Pro is almost the same as getting a power bank because the 5,150mAh battery capacity is excellent. It charges quickly through Type-C USB 2.0 and can share power via OTG.
Hardware and Software
The MediaTek Helio P70 SoC is at the heart of the gadget. An octa-core 2.1GHz processor and Mali-G72 GPU are included in the 12nm chip.
It comes with a generous 6GB of RAM. The device’s file storage is handled by a 128GB extendable memory card. Furthermore, the Umidigi S3 Pro comes pre-installed with Android 9.0 Pie.
