How to Change the Language on Your Facebook Account and News Feed
You may have observed that Facebook automatically converts non-English posts into English. But what if you want your entire Facebook to be in a different language?
Perhaps English is not your first tongue, you have participated in a cultural exchange abroad, or you are learning another language and wish to improve your skills.
Regardless of the reason, you can translate Facebook into more than 100 languages, from Spanish to French, Chinese to Russian, and even wacky languages like Pirate English.
It is unclear why you would require these extra alternatives, but hey, nobody cares.
You may change your language using either the Facebook website or the Facebook app on your mobile device. Here is how it operates:
How to change the language on your Facebook account using a computer
To change the language on your Facebook account using a computer:
- Go to Facebook and log in to your account.
- Click on the downward-facing triangle in the top right corner of the page.
- From the dropdown menu, click on “Settings.”
- In the left-hand column, click on “Language.”
- Under “Facebook Language,” click on the current language displayed.
- From the dropdown menu, select the language you want to use.
- Click “Save Changes” to update your language preference.
Your Facebook account will now be displayed in the language you selected. Please note that some parts of Facebook, such as ads and third-party apps, may still be displayed in other languages.
