How to Sort Data in Google Sheets
1. Open Google Sheets: The first step in sorting your data is to open Google Sheets. The application is accessible through your Google Drive. Remember that Google Sheets is similar to Excel if you have never used it before (or any other spreadsheet program you may have used). Simply choose the sheet containing the data you need to manage after opening Google Sheets.
2. Select a column: Use Google Sheets Selecting the data column you want to organize is the first step in sorting your data. Click on the letter at the top of the column, directly above Row 1, to choose it. Each column is arranged alphabetically. Simply seek for the row at the top of the screen that lists the letters in alphabetical order if you’re puzzled.
3. To display the menu, move the cursor over the first letter of the chosen column. On the very right side of the column, just to the right of the letter, there ought to be a little arrow. This arrow can be clicked to reveal a drop-down menu.
4. Alphabetically sort your data: Finally, use the SORT A-Z or SORT Z-A option to arrange your data in alphabetical order. The tool will automatically arrange the data in the spreadsheet after you have decided how to categorize it.

- On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets.
