Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Specs and Price

The newest smartphone in Samsung’s Note family of larger smartphones is the Galaxy Note 7. It is the Galaxy Note 5’s replacement and has a lot in common with Samsung’s other 2016 flagships, including water resistance and essentially the same technology. The 5.7-inch display of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is now curved at the edges, adding an iris sensor for increased security.

The Design

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has a new design when compared to the Galaxy Note 5. It has a display with curved edges similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, although the radius of the curves is different. This reduces the width of the smartphone by around 2.2mm while maintaining a 5.7-inch display.

The back has the same curved edges as the front and is laminated with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Samsung claims that this will make using the phablet simple. There are four color options for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7: Coral Blue, Black Onyx, Silver Titanium, and Gold Platinum.

The phone has water resistance (IP68), which is a first for a Note series device. The S Pen active stylus that comes with it now supports 4,096 different pressure levels and is water resistant as well.

Display and Camera

The 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Display on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is identical to that on its predecessor, but as I mentioned before, it is now curved at the edges like the S7 Edge. The screen has the same resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.

The cameras in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 are comparable to those on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. There has a 12 megapixel camera on the rear. The camera has cutting-edge technologies like dual-pixel sensor technology and optical picture stabilization. The front camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels.

Hardware and Software

The phablet has 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. Additionally, a microSD card allows for storage of up to 256GB. Both the single SIM and dual SIM versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 accept Nano SIM. While the dual-SIM variant’s SIM2 slot also serves as the microSD slot, the single SIM variant has a dedicated microSD slot.

With download rates of up to 600 Mbps, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 offers extremely fast LTE. With a 3500 Li-Po Battery, it has higher battery capacity. Moreover, wireless charging is supported.

Security Features

The Microsoft Lumia 950-like iris scanner is now combined with the fingerprint sensor on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, making it even more secure. With this, you can unlock your phone with your finger or eye as you like.

You may configure the functionality to unlock apps as well. Additionally, you can make protected folders that require a fingerprint or iris scan to open. The Iris scanner can also verify purchases made via Samsung Pay.

Samsung Knox security software, which is preinstalled on the Samsung Galaxy Note, encrypts your data and offers security and privacy on your phone. The company will also sell a variety of add-ons, such as a physical QWERTY keyboard or extra battery life. The phone is Gear VR and Gear 360 compatible.’

Pricing and Availability

On August 19, 2016, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will launch internationally. The price has not yet been disclosed. At this time, availability for Kenya or Nigeria cannot be guaranteed.
