Camon 12 pro

The Camon 12 Pro is a follow-up to the Camon 11 Pro. Tecno is keeping with tradition by releasing not only a normal version of the Camon 12, but also a Pro variant for people who demand more from their devices.

Of course, this will enhance the features of the standard edition, bringing even more outstanding specifications to the market.

If that’s any indication – and given that the Camon 12 isn’t exactly a slouch – it’s debatable whether you should spend the extra cash on the big sibling. The Tecno Camon 12 Air is another option.

Design and Display

The Tecno Camon 12 Pro and its smaller brother both have a 6.4-inch screen on the front, so there isn’t much of a difference in terms of design. The display, on the other hand, has been updated from IPS to AMOLED.

When you convert to AMOLED, you get a lot more contrast. In reality, the Tecno Camon 12 Pro has a contrast ratio of 100000:1.

The Android phone also has a notch on the screen, but this time it’s in the shape of a U rather than a V. The cutout also contains the selfie camera and a speakerphone, but it’s significantly more remarkable in terms of the screen-to-body ratio it promises (91 percent ).

Similarly, we like how the fingerprint sensor was placed behind the display on this one, giving it a more premium feel than the Camon 12.

On the outside of the Tecno Camon 12 Pro, there are only two physical buttons: a volume rocker and a power button. The headphone jack isn’t going away anytime soon, so we’ll have it for another year on this phone.

Slowly, we make our way to the back, where some magic takes place.
The rear camera setup remains a triple setup, and the firm has opted for plastic once again, but it has been improved for this model.

The 20:9 aspect ratio screen and body are finished in an eye-catching Dawn Blue color.

Again, we hope that Tecno has additional colors in the works and is only waiting to release them on the market.

Camera

The Tecno Camon 12 Pro sports a 32MP selfie camera, which is the sole significant difference between the Camon 12 and the Camon 12 Pro.

This puts it on par with the previously released Phantom 9, and the rear cameras are also comparable.

There’s a 16-megapixel main sensor here, followed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

For those who don’t know, there will be no telephoto lens on this phone, therefore portrait photographs will have to be taken with any of the other cameras on board.

The twin flash design of the Tecno Camon 12 Pro is similar to that of the Camon 12 and the Phantom 9. The earpiece is flanked on both sides by an LED flash.

Apart from that, these smartphones are same in terms of how they come with a quad LED flash on the rear. Both cameras have AI and augmented reality built in.

Hardware, Software and Other Features

This year, the MediaTek Helio P22 processor appears to be the Tecno standard for high-end handsets, and we see it in the Tecno Camon 12 Pro.

This octa-core processor comes with 6GB of RAM instead of the Camon 12’s, but the storage (64GB) stays the same.

Both phones, however, have a dedicated microSD card slot that may be used to expand their storage capacity.

The operating system of choice is Android 9 Pie, which has been customized to work with HiOS 5.5. To summarize, the 3500mAh battery falls short of the 4000mAh battery found in the Camon 12 and even lower-end variants like the Tecno Spark 4 and Tecno Pop 3 Plus.

We should have expected that the more premium device will come with the bigger battery, but reverse is the case here.
