Infinix Hot 8 Specs, Price, and Best Deals
The Infinix Hot 8 is the most recent addition to the Hot Series, succeeding the Hot 7 and Hot 7 Pro. Infinix has returned with the latest addition in the Hot series, and we now have the Hot 8. With larger battery capacity, it provides better performance. Newer variants such as the Infinix Hot 10, Hot 10 Play, and Infinix Hot 10T have since superseded this model.
For starters, we already know that the Hot series is where Infinix launches the gadgets that will serve as the season’s low-level midrange units, so we’re not expecting much. But, even so, how does this measure up?

Design and Display
From the large notch to the waterdrop-style notch on the current Hot 8, Infinix has come a long way. The 6.6-inch IPS screen may appear large, but the 20:9 aspect ratio makes it more approachable.
In the same spirit, this screen is stunning, occupying about 82 percent of the front of the smartphone when compared to the body.
The Infinix Hot 8 has a horizontal triple-camera setup on the back, which we’ve seen more times than we care to remember only this year.
Even though the fingerprint scanner could have been placed under the screen or buried on the side of the phone, Infinix keeps it on the back.
It’s worth noting, though, that the phone’s back is constructed of glass. We never expected such high-end care from a phone of this caliber.
The Infinix Hot 8 is available in a variety of colors, including Quetzal Cyan, Cosmic Purple, Shark Grey, and Midnight Black.
Camera
The Infinix Hot 8’s front camera is 8 megapixels, which will suffice for selfies. It’s unlikely to snap the finest selfies on the market, but it should be more balanced than most.
However, we have some strong opponents on the back end. The main 13-megapixel sensor is intended for wide-angle photography, and it will be combined with a 2-megapixel sensor for better depth capture.
A third sensor (QVGA camera) is present, although it is intended to improve low-light pictures.
Surprisingly, the selfie camera has its own LED flash, so it will perform well in low-light settings. We have a quad-LED camera configuration in the back to improve the rear camera’s chances.
Hardware, Software and Other Features
Infinix opted to put two different chipsets to the test for distinct Hot 8 combinations. The MediaTek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset is used in the 2GB/3GB RAM + 32GB ROM storage variant of this low-cost Android phone, while the MT6762 chipset is used in the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM storage option.
Because each of these chipsets are made using the 12nm technology, their efficiency and operational capacity will be similar. The first, however, is a quad-core chipset, and the later is an octa-core SoC.
The second iteration of the Infinix Hot 8, with an octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM, is designed for users who want more performance for gaming and multitasking.
Regardless of the model you choose, you’ll receive Android 9 Pie with the in-house XOS 5.0 operating system on top, as well as the PowerVR GE8320 GPU in the chipset.
Connectivity and Battery
Fortunately, Infinix didn’t think to remove the 3.5mm connector from their own unit – and the speakers even have Dirac Surround Sound. It has a microUSB connector and supports 4G LTE.
Users will have all the power they need with this smartphone, which comes with a non-removable 5000mAh battery. However, there is no sign of a quick charging technology on the horizon.
