Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Price and Specs
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is a capable Android tablet from the 2018 generation. Despite numerous reports and figures indicating a fall in tablet shipment and usage, Samsung Mobile has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, the latest addition to its tablet range of products.
Samsung hopes to boost productivity and reinvent how people use tablets with the Galaxy Tab S4. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is a tablet PC that can be used as both a regular Android tablet and a laptop.
The Galaxy Tab S4 is up to the task of competing with convertible tablet flagships from other top brands, such as the recently introduced Microsoft Surface Go, thanks to its numerous impressive capabilities.

Design
Body and Appearance
The Galaxy Tab S4 has a simple, minimalist, slate-like form that is common among Android tablets. The tablet, on the other hand, has a luxury appearance thanks to its glass front and back.
While the glass covering improves the device’s visual grade, it also retains fingerprint streaks, which might dull the tablet’s beauty.
Another characteristic to like is the tablet’s modest weight (it weighs 482 grams), which allows for easy transportation. Furthermore, at a width of 7.1mm, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 may be the thinnest tablet PC ever.
There are four shining gold metal connecting pins on the tablet’s left side for attaching the tablet to the auxiliary keyboard and the tablet’s micro SD card slot.
The volume adjustment buttons and power button are on the other (right-hand) side, while the 3.5mm audio jack and fast charging USB-C are on the bottom.
Iris Scanner and Facial Recognition
Because the Galaxy Tab S4 lacks a fingerprint sensor, the only options for unlocking it are facial recognition and iris scanning. While this may appear to be novel, a front-facing fingerprint sensor that also serves as the home button would have been preferable.
Keyboard
The attachable keyboard is dubbed the ‘Book Cover Keyboard’ by Samsung because it doubles as a tablet case, protecting the Galaxy Tab S4 from dirt and shattering in the event of an accidental drop.
The keys on the keyboard are smooth yet little; you may find it difficult to type quickly and smoothly at first, but you will get used to it.
Another disadvantage is that, unlike the Microsoft Surface Go’s cover keyboard, it lacks a mouse trackpad. However, a Bluetooth mouse or the built-in stylus pen can be a great option.
The keys aren’t as well-lit. You may find it difficult to type at night or in dark surroundings unless you have perfected the art of typing on the (or any) keyboard.
The POGO connection pins on the lefthand side of the Galaxy Tab S4 are used to connect the Book Cover Keyboard to the device. Surprisingly, there is an on-screen keyboard button on the screen that displays an Android-style keyboard.
If you don’t want to spend the money on a keyboard case, the on-screen keyboard will suffice, but not for heavy typing.
Stylus Pen
One of the biggest advantages of the Galaxy Tab S4 S-Pen pen is that it comes with the tablet PC out of the box, saving you money on buying it separately.
The S Pen is housed in a socket on the left side of the keyboard enclosure. Sketching, drawing, painting, signing documents, taking screenshots, and a few other Air Command features are all possible with the S Pen.
Display
The screen is a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 1600 x 2560 pixel resolution (287 ppi density). Bezels have shrunk, saturation has improved, contrast has improved, colors have improved, and image crispness has improved.
Internal Configuration
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 runs Android Oreo v8.1 out of the box and is powered by Qualcomm’s Octa-core Snapdragon 835 CPU.
Be sure to enjoy the greatest mobile computing and desktop experience using Samsung’s Dex interface. Samsung’s Dex is more akin to a customized desktop version of Android OS.
The Tab S4 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded by 400GB via a micro SD card. A more expensive version with 256GB of built-in storage is also available.
Battery
A massive 7,300mAh battery powers the device. Although the battery capacity is not as large as that of rival tablets (such as the Apple iPad Pro), it may easily last a day before needing to be recharged.
