iPhone 13 Pro Max Review

iPhone 13 Pro Max review

When you get almost everything you could desire in a phone, you get the iPhone 13 Pro Max. This high-end smartphone (starting at $1,099) features a 120Hz refresh rate display, the quickest performance of any mobile, and long battery life.

But it’s the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s cameras that really set it apart, since they’re the greatest I’ve ever seen on a phone. You may snap super close-up images with a new macro mode that takes advantage of the ultra-wide camera, film Cinematic mode videos with a fascinating bokeh effect, and set your own Photographic styles.

The camera bulge on the iPhone 13 Pro Max is noticeably larger this time around, thanks to the larger sensors, and the overall design is more substantial than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. However, I prefer the notch on the 6.7-inch display because it is narrower. If you want all of the same capabilities in a more compact and slightly less expensive phone, check out our iPhone 13 Pro review.

While I wish Apple had faster charging and Touch ID, this is the best iPhone — and best phone period, as you’ll see in my complete iPhone 13 Pro Max review.

iPhone 13 Pro Max price and release date

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is currently available for purchase, with prices beginning at $1,099 for 128GB of storage. Upgrading to 256GB will set you back $1,199, 512GB will set you back $1,399, and the massive 1TB option will set you back $1,599.

The 128GB iPhone 13 Pro Max starts at £1,049 in the United Kingdom, rising to £1,149 for the 265GB model and £1,349 for the 512GB version. If you have a lot of cash to burn and need a lot of storage, the 1TB iPhone 13 Pro will set you back £1,549.

iPhone 13 Pro Max Specifications

The iPhone 13 Pro Max has the same flat sides as the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but it has a different appearance. For starters, the camera array is larger than previously, taking up a little more space on the phone’s rear.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max weighs 8.46 ounces, which is somewhat more than its predecessor’s 8.03 ounces. But, given the new iPhone Pro’s greater battery, I’ll let that slide.

On the good side, Apple reduced the size of the notch on the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s display by 20% while keeping the same important Face ID technology. It’s not a full-screen appearance, but it’s a step forward over recent iPhones.

Downsides of Iphone 13 Pro Max

My only genuine criticism of the iPhone 13’s design is that it lacks Touch ID, both in the power button and beneath the display. It would be good to have another means to easily unlock our iPhones at a time when many people still wear masks in public areas.

Some users have reported that the iPhone 13 series is having trouble unlocking with the Apple Watch, which is meant to work even while you’re wearing a mask. Fortunately, Apple has stated that a repair is on the way.
