Unlike many of their competitors, LG’s flagship smartphones don’t tend to stay in the spotlight long after they’ve been released. OnePlus and Samsung, on the other hand, command a far larger percentage of the audience’s attention. With the LG G8X ThinQ, the South Korean corporation is attempting to make a name with its own take on a foldable smartphone. This new device may be used as a regular smartphone, but it also comes with an add-on display shell that allows you to double your screen size. The G8X ThinQ costs Rs. 49,999 in India, including the display cover, and it’s the first time such a device has arrived in our country. Is it practical or merely a gimmick? We’ve put it through its paces.
LG G8X ThinQ Summary
The LG G8X ThinQ comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a little water drop notch on top. On the sides of the display, the bezels are narrow, while the bottom chin is slightly thicker. It includes a dedicated Google Assistant button and is one of the few phones with a 3.5mm headphone port. LG also includes a dual-screen adapter, which allows you to add a second display to the phone.
The LG G8x ThinQ is a smartphone having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It sports a 4,000mAh battery and fast charging capabilities. LG UX 9.0 is installed on top of Android 9 Pie on the LG G8X ThinQ. The device also includes a Hi-Fi DAC and DTS:X 3D Surround sound compatibility. It performs well, and the device is capable of handling whatever task you throw at it.
The LG G8X ThinQ features a dual-camera configuration with a 12-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera. The phone takes good images in daylight, and it also takes good photos in low light. Another great suit of the LG G8X ThinQ is video recording.
